Ben grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts in History. While at Mizzou, Ben was a scholarship athlete and varsity letter winner on the Men’s Track and Field team. After graduation, Ben spend eight years as an engineering officer in the Missouri Army National Guard.

Ben earned his law degree from the University of Missouri. While in law school, Ben was a member of the Phi Delta Phi honors fraternity and earned Dean’s List honors all six semesters. Ben also participated in the Mizzou Law Veterans Clinic assisting veterans in their claims for disability benefits against the VA.

Ben is a member of the Missouri Bar Association. Prior to joining VBM, Ben clerked at Evans & Dixon in their Business Services department. Ben is admitted to practice in all Missouri Courts, as well as the United States District Courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Missouri. Ben has experience representing employers and insurers in worker’s compensation and general insurance defense matters. He also has experience providing clients with transactional services including business formation and estate planning.

In his free time, Ben enjoys playing golf, taking his dog Ginger on long walks, and traveling with his wife, Rachel.
